The White House Trolls With ICE Deportation Jingle
The White House is catching serious heat after posting a video of ICE deportation flights — and pairing it with none other than Jet2 Holidays’ viral audio. Yup, the same chipper “Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday” voiceover that usually accompanies TikToks about missed flights or lost luggage was layered over footage of handcuffed individuals being escorted onto planes. But, if that wasn’t wild enough, the official caption read: “When ICE books you a one-way Jet2 holiday to deportation. Nothing beats it!” Chile…
Social Media Said “This Ain’t It”
Users flooded the White House’s X comment section, with some straight-up questioning if the post was even from their real account. And others were stunned by the use of a cheerful vacation song over footage of deportations. Across the board, many called the video insensitive and said it made light of a serious, traumatic reality for countless people.
One X user @kate_ross_ said, “[Jet2] y’all ok with this?“
And, X user, @TheMisterFrog wrote, “what the helly, white houserelly“
Meanwhile, X user @ladidai added, “It is so incredibly embarrassing for this account to operate this 😵💫😵💫😵💫”
This X user @WINRProtocol shared, “No way they used the jet2 sound”
While, X user @isthisdame commented, “i thought this was a parody account..“
Finally, X user @ALPHACOETH said, “mind you this is an official united states government page“

The Singer & Jet2 Company Speak Out
“The Jet2 meme has spread a lot of joy and humour around the world, but the White House video shows that Trump has neither,” said Jess Glynne, per BBC.
“Our branding has become something of a viral phenomenon this summer and we are pleased to see how many people have used it in good humour. This has put a smile on many people’s faces, just like our holidays do. We are of course aware of a post from the White House social media account. This is not endorsed by us in any way, and we are very disappointed to see our brand being used to promote government policy such as this.”
